The antibodies don't hang about for very long. Maybe 6 months. What you need to be testing for is the T and B cells. These preserve the "memory" of the antibodies and produce them if/when the virus is detected. T cell protection lasts at least 17 years (there's that number again).
Bull$#!% I am going to ask my doc for an antibody test just to do it. That, or pay for one out of pocket.
