I think it is reasonable to end mail in balloting, except for the military.
There are enough other provisions for 99% of other people with early-voting to vote in person, on a physical paper ballot, with photo ID, in a local precinct, with chain of custody, poll observers, etc.
Honestly, if you are too busy to make voting in person a priority every year with early voting... you don't need to vote.
