Yes, they can. They are subject ONLY to the UCMJ. Not the Constitution or the US legal system.
You are correct. When someone signs the contract they essentially waive their constitutional rights and are fully subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice, where one can be prosecuted for Adultery and just about anything else not covered as an individual article under Article 134, the "General Article" which serves as a catch-all.
What is the USMJ patterned after?
If transexuals have "rights" as far as the military is concerned, then so does every service member.
