Only 1 in 500 people have a bad reaction to the virus, and of those, only 2.64% of them die, which means you have a 1 in 19,000 chance of dying in the near term.

I don't think there is any reason to believe that vaccine is a death sentence, although that is a pretty popular narrative around here.

Your parents will most likely be just fine.
