I do not see the value of delaying this. Is there anybody who distrusts the audits that is suddenly going to trust it because of the delays?

Nobody thinks like that. Those people are imaginary versions of NPCs that we create in our minds. People who took their stance on this are not going to change. If I have a message to the white hats, it's this: Stop trying to appease people who are never going to be on your side anyway. Let the truth come out.
