I've just received a San Diego County Summons for Jury Service and I'm scheduled to report on 9/24. Unfortunately...I guess I forgot to get jabbed. Oops. I wonder if this will affect my good standing with the Superior Court of San Diego. It seems that they're okay with your vax status when if benefits them, as evidenced by their official statement:
Facial coverings are required for all people entering the courthouses, regardless of vaccination status.
But they allow me to attend a variety of entertainment venues due to arbitrary reasons.
I'm going to ask to be excused given that there will be a multitude of deadly vaccinated citizens there, indoors, for hours on end. However, I welcome any and all clever ways to state this, frens. Channel your Thomas Paine and send some suggestions! Thx.
Good people finding a way out of jury duty is part of the problem with our judicial system. Want to know who has the time and desire to always sit on jury duty and/or seek it out? progressives...less likely to have work obligations, more likely to want the feeling of power/control no matter how small, MUCH more likely to betray our founding and constitutional principles (and their fellow citizens) in their deliberations.
He who doesn't want to exert power over others is the best choice to serve the role...built-in check against corruption.
