Which politician was it that put out the demand "If you have something then just release the nothingburger already so we can get it over with, don't endlessly dangle unsubtantiated claims"? You can tell they're starting to get really pissed off how many times they've been tricked.

This has happened more than once with big announcements I've noticed.

Democrats often dump embarrassing news stories on Fridays, whereas Republicans launch media blitzes on Fridays, so I think the expectation is there that whatever damning info Trump has will always leak out on a Friday and they poop themselves trying to preempt it.
