I work in Manufacturing, have for years. And the supply chain issue that we have on our hands right now, should literally scare the piss out of people. Because we have felt some effects, but nothing compared to what will happen when the house of cards comes down. Vendors don't have common items in stock, company leaders want to hire people, but they can't find anyone worth a hoot to hire unless they just want to settle for a person who can't even tie their own shoes. And then couple both of those things with the fact that big companies are buying in bulk to prepare for shortages and to try not to be pushed off schedule waiting for material to arrive, but that is turning out to be more harm than good, because that screws the supply chain even harder. It's the craziest thing I have ever seen. And now I find out that 61% of Americans didn't pay income taxes last year?? I mean it's not like they actually, "need" our tax money, because apparently they can just print into oblivion... There is a big change coming. It is clearly evident that something comes, not sure quite what yet. But I will say it is on the horizon it seems. Because reality catches up. All the time, every time. In any case, great post, very interesting data.
