I just found his name: Monsignor Guido Marini -- a good Mafia name, kek!

Note, though, this was during Pope Benedict's reign. If I'm not mistaken, Benedict was more conservative.

Msgr Marini seems to be a reed that bends with the wind. I wouldn't be surprised to discover he was the one whispering in Benedict's ear to step down.
