Yes, there are situations of children who are terribly mistreated in foster care. Those "foster parents" and caseworkers deserve to have the sh** knocked out of them.. those pieces of sh** give the good FP's and even caseworkers a bad name. I am so tired of hearing that foster parents are abusive. 1%. That 1% is the primary focus of people like yourself. And trust me, I hate them as much as you! In 7 years, we had ONE case where the child came from another foster home...
Each child that has came to our home came from situations that are unimaginable with abuse. We have heard things that would make your stomach turn, and make you wish death on the parents/family members that put them through it. Incest/rape, starvation to the brink of death, beatings that have broken tiny bones (EX: a 5 mos old with 7+ broken bones inflicted by mom), psychological manipulation, etc... Trying to help these babies through that trauma is not easy, but OMG they are worth fighting for.
I βbecame a foster parent to be the change because I have seen and heard about the abuse that these babies/kids go through with their so called "parents". I became a foster parent because kids deserve better in their upbringing, and love, they deserve love. They deserve a meal that they do not have to find in a trash can. They deserve a warm bed to sleep in. They deserve to not have their tiny bodies ravaged by a beating, or to be forced into a vile act beyond their years... Kids deserve an adult who will go to bat for them, who will fight for their existence in a safe environment.
Some return to family when they do not need to. Some return because the parents fought to do better for themselves, fought do better for their kid. Some go to family where they are safe. Some are adopted because no one in the family either A: steps up to care for them or, B: has a track history worse than the parents.
Until you are willing to sacrifice your normal, to step up for the kids in foster care that have had their worlds ripped apart, until you have LIVED through hell with them and have faced the unimaginable, kindly keep your opinions to yourself. . Become a FP, become a child advocate. Get involved in making sure all of these children are treated fairly, and justly by the system. Don't just sit on the internet & b**** about the system. That is, unless you have a spotty background, and cannot do so. but even then, you can choose to support the 99% that are speaking out & fighting against the abuse of these kids.
Now, as for this actual post, what this woman is doing to that baby should be constituted as child abuse. That child will be confused, and brainwashed into thinking they are broken. When in reality, he is perfect the way he was born. People with mental illnesses really need to stop projecting onto their children. (EX: Angelina Jolie & her DAUGHTER, Shiloh
My child was taken from me by CPS from the room she was born in because the nurses reported us. They took my child and then invented a reason later to justify the kidnapping. They said the mother tested positive for THC. The mother did not smoke or drink during the pregnancy. They said that we engaged in domestic violence in the hospital room. We did not speak once. They said the baby tested positive for drugs. The hospital paperwork said she was negative for everything. They falsified my drug test results and said I tested positive for THC, but I've never done drugs in my entire life. They falsified the paternity test results to kick me out of the case because the mother doesn't have an income and is not a fighter, they said I'm not the father but the paternity test at the hospital disagrees. CPS is a corrupt, evil organization that engages in human trafficking.
Now, I can understand in your case why you are so ticked off at CPS. I am very, very sorry that this happened to you and your child. And I pray that it doesn't happen to someone else.
But to say EVERY child is trafficked through the system, is incorrect. My kids are living proof of that
