It is true in life as in martial arts that you must ENABLE the lion. The lion may never be needed in your life. But the lion must be an available option for everyone. When truly needed, you can't be afraid to act.

The instructor was using the training principle of successive approximation. Or "baby steps".
First he got the boy to yell, run aggressively and then make contact with a hug. A non threatening and positive
Next he will train him to do proper strikes and throws during the contact. He is working the boys mind first, then the bodybwill follow.
