They have posted what I can assume non-public photos of McAfee in the past - so not a pure larp. They have posted screenshots of abuse victims of HRC, Colbert, etc. They have been furiously posting code for decryption. They also reference Ingersoll Lockwood countdown page, which refers to McAfee's birthday - which is a day after the signing of declaration of Independance (which they claim is the day when something amazing happens).

At this point, anything can be true.
