i always wonder if the virus wasn't sabotaged behind the scenes by white hats and we got a version that wasn't as deadly as the DS had planned. these stories ready to go were part of the original plan that didn't work out and the farcical and transparent narrative and coercion in place now is the DS playing catch up. a 98% survival rate isn't a very successful FF. optics for the people.
