I saw the video posted here of a girl saying US and Australian truckers are going to strike on the same day (8/31). I searched, but I've been unable to find any information other than the Australian effort.

It's doubtful it will happen in the U.S. . Unfortunately most of the truckers here are either foriegn or hood rats who could care less about what's going on in our country.
Then it could come from the owners of the trucking company. You never know.
Wouldn't that be amazing?
I had/have a completely opposite opinion.... And I realize I have zero facts on which to base my opinion. Gak...!
It's good to have optimism. It's difficult for me to have that in this topic though. It's probably because I have been on the road too long.
So many things have changed. Our expectations are lowered based on what we see. Humanity is not what it once was.
no ...push hasn't come to shove yet .../!
We didn't plan well - not Preppers - but have a separate freezer. Wanted to know if I needed to fill it to the gills TODAY. Looks like I can fill it on my next trip to Costco. Won't wait too long, this crap is gaining speed.
If your power goes out that freezer is worthless to you after a few days, you are better off buying canned goods, pantry items etc...w/ long shelf life. I'm not saying don't have one and use it, just that it does not need to be your main source of food.
I know that desperate times will call for desperate measures.,I don't keep much shelf stable food. I'll need to maybe pick up some rice/beans so we can survive.
Exactly, bottled water also, dried fruits...just make sure it is things you will eat, canned meats-tuna etc...
Didn't think about the canned meats. ..I feel better already!
I have a generator for mine that runs off both petrol/NG. I have roughly a full cow, pig and 20 something chickens. I also keep myself armed to the teeth to protect it and my 500 gallons of rainwater. I feel pretty well insulated. Best part is that it will be utilized in hard times or good times.
I would say you have it very under control! We used to have a farm and like you were better prepared just due to location and acreage etc...but living on the outskirts of a small town has made us rethink how to be prepared for things. I must say I wish we were back on the farm but widowed mothers necessitated the move:)
They were supposed to do one last year and it never happened. I don't think it will happen
That is somewhat disheartening
There was a whole bunch of truckers preparing to strike over the election shit and everything that happened after. But the time came and they didn't. They had it all prepared for some time in Nov last year. But the older drivers said they were having an issue getting the newer drivers (and they are the majority) to actually strike cause they were so scared about loosing their jobs. I just don't see it happening. And really the only people it will hurt is us. Think about it...
You're so right....
Aren't there a lot of NWO people who work as truckers?
NO....truckers are dyed in the wool American Patriots! Drove for years...
Those days died a long time ago.
Hm... Hasn't heard that, but they are pretty well dispersed to screw us. So, in the light, probably you're right.
I would support that.
I would in theory. I'm a bit terrified in practice (if electricity goes out, I'm screwed for food)
May I ask why you think electricity would be affected?
Retaliation perhaps.... Or at some point. Not that a trucker strike would be that directly, but perhaps indirectly, as a response.
You still got a few days to get some supplies.
No
Well this I know something about....
8/31/21 US truckers will, in support with Australian truckers stop the tires. Most will be independent drivers who own their own rigs. Those contracted with big companies, who will lose their job if they partake, are going to "run down their hours" thus being able to stop as well without fear of reprisals...
I drove truck years ago and still hold a CDL (drive a school bus now) and have lots of friends still out there. They. Are. Pissed! They need to shut down major highways, bridges and the like but this is, perhaps wishful thinking. Its supposed to last a week here...stock up people. We will see if those that are committed to this carry though this time.
This grandma is betting on these guys and gals to create a supply issue for lots of places...
Blessings for their success...
