It's a noble sentiment, but that's not quite how it works. There will be NO Rambos in the coming events, every effective fighting unit depends on comms, transportation, and a SUPPLY CHAIN.... food, water, ammo, equipment....all the stuff needed to have an effective fighting force downrange. And "keep your weaponry" won't work either, the discharge process is very thorough. When I was discharged years ago, I was lucky to have kept my cold-weather field jacket because it was bitter cold (February) where I was discharged and the supply officer took pity on me, it was the only cold-weather gear I had... oh, plus my boots. Everything else was swallowed up by the supply chain of the US Government and my branch of service.
