I think the "expected" number is likely from historical data without the injections (i.e., what would have happened naturally).
Depends on how they define “Expected”. Based on the FDA slides from October 2020 myocarditis is an “expected” side effect.
Edit: went looking. Based on the way they adjusted the female numbers and account for those, I’m guessing your right. It’s likely the expected ‘background‘ rates. “expected estimates for females 12–29 years adjusted to reflect reduced incidence in this age group”
Yes, their "predictive" models have proven time and again to be complete crap. Why would they expose themselves more by breaking out male and female classifications and doubling their chance of being wrong?
