Alright GA community, I've heard it said in regards to Covid, jab mandates and general government overreach world wide, that things will get worse before they get better. To me, this comes across as a vague platitude that offers very little in the way of real help. It's already looking pretty grim in many parts of the world. Australia and New Zealand look to be experiencing the hardest treatment from their governments, but in other places many people are being forced by their jobs to get the jab or lose their job.
All that said, I want to challenge this community and ask: How specifically will things get worse? Who do you think will be most affected by things? How would one prepare? Do you have an opinion of what will be the turning point for things to get better? Open discussion, please share your thoughts and opinions. I don't want this to be a doomer thread. Just share what you think people could realistically expect to experience over the next few months or years. I'm genuinely interested to hear what you have to say. How bad will things get before they start getting better?
EDIT: Let's keep this based on Q posts as much as possible. I'm actually fairly new to Q and have watched a lot of the videos provided by the GA mods, but still researching a lot and learning from you all. I've been with the MAGA movement since 2016 back when The_Donald was on Reddit. I started coming over here to GA back in January after the 'Inauguration'. You all provided a lot of hope when it all seemed lost.
Good or bad we have all come to rely on a well functioning supply chain. Our food, fuel, clothing, power and water all depend on a functioning infrastructure. And we depend on the law abiding nature of our neighbors. If your neighbour's family is starving how safe will your extra food supplies be? Don't count on the police, or fire department to come running when you call.
First it will be food and fuel, but things can go down hill quickly from there. Do you have land you can farm? Do you have a a sewing machine, generator, lanterns and fuel to run them? Do you know how to butcher your own meat, could you jerk some meat for the winter? Bye the way, if you have a hoard of gold or silver do you have a payroll for guys to guard it 24/7 (you can't eat gold).
Just let your mind run down the "Little House on the Prarie" scenario for a while. How capable are you and what skill do you have to trade?
Yes, have some goods set back for bartering, things like liquor, extra non-perishables, firewood, propane, and cash. They will be tying your digital $ to your vaxport. Credit cards, bank accts, may become inaccessible or may suffer collapse due to bank runs. Cash will be essential and will retain some value, at least for a while. Keep your property taxes paid, don't give them a reason. Get to know your neighbors, be on at least some level of cordial acquaintance. Gather your family close, become your own clan. The more eyes, ears, and hands, the better. And do good works when you can. You will bring good favor upon yourself in the community and in God's eyes. Pray.
Those are all good, sound tips for survival in case of a major economic crash, or the supply lines going down for an extended amount of time. My wife and I have a fairly good sized garden and have been growing our own food as a hobby for the past few years. We're on good terms with our neighbors on our block and have already had times in the past where we lost power for a few days because of snow storms. We were able to pull together and help each other out. We're all packing firearms as well and know we got each other's backs. The BLM and antifag riots last year were far enough away that we didn't have any issues, but still close enough that we were making plans as to how we would handle a gang of rioters coming through our street.
Most neighbors around me r self centered. U can help them but they won't help u.
Barack jerks my meat for the winter.
Lucky you. (grin). My older brother used to make Venison Jerky which was very good, but he died without teaching me how to do it. (My bad).
Here's a quick and easy way to make jerky in an air fryer. My wife found a long video, but this is the short version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QpvBj5xItY
Good point. I guess we need to figure out how and who we want to be associated with.
Have you ever seen this movie? It basically goes into both your comments. Guy tries to survive and is badass at it, but eventually can't do it alone because the bad guys are starting to tribe up - so he needs to go find one. Pretty excellent movie and will scare the crap out of you. I don't even like movies anymore but this was a good one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTMLtXNPmhE
Interesting I’m gonna check it out this week. But yes that is spot on logical. No matter how well off u can sustain on ur own, strength in numbers will overrun you. Only way to avoid it is luck and being in the middle of nowhere that no one wants to be and then more luck.
My goal is keeping enough food around so should shtf I can start supplying neighbors with meals. Even if some are Not able to be loyal or contribute, having them on my good side is better. Those in super dense metro areas will be unable to do this however, that’s where shtf will get super real and dark.
Fortunately my neighbors, while some are red neck trailer trash types and some are liberal types - all ultimately are decent modern middle class folks. And a few retired marines. Never felt better about being in a boring republican Midwest town of under 500k population than I have felt in the last year. My wife who is pretty liberal and from CA even has not changed her stance exactly on many things, but isn’t glower either, but even last year she was like “we need to get a gun and I don’t think ur crazy now for buying extra toilet paper and water and canned goods” felt great…. Still hope we can get out of this without needing to use all those things.
Anyhow I’m rambling, rest up everyone, another day of trudging through mud tomorrow and taking the punches while we wait for the hammer to fall.
I use to get push back from my wife every time I tried to buy some extra supplies, a big bag of rice, or some extra canned goods. We don't have anywhere to put all that stuff would say.
Then I turned her on to Q, and she has gotten fully redpilled. Now I got three months of 24 year ReadyHour food stacked in one corner, and one of my extra bedrooms is stacked with all kinds of extra food lol.
One of her lady friends that we met through a Q party we held, has been involved for years where she gets extra food stuffs from stores and gives it out to the needy. She get so much stuff that she can't give it all away, so my wife goes over a couple times a week and hauls home boxes of great supplies, stuff like boxes of powered milk, and milk that requires no refreg. Lots of canned goods, boxes of grits, and bags of rice, all kind of long lasting food.
My water is supplied by well, but I really need to jet down another shallow well that I can run with a hand pump.
You ever seen the CW2 cube? Should have a look at it. It make you consider your location on a larger scale than just your immediate area. The CW2 Cube is a creation of Former US Navy Seal Matt Bracken. He has some excellent fictions stories that contain a good bit of realism. One is When the Music Stops, and another is What I Saw At The Coup.
