This is blowing up today. Seems intentional that he looked at his watch for every soldier. Where are the guys from impractical jokers hiding?

In another thread I jokingly suggested it wasn't really a watch, but a coms device. Now that I see he looked at it 5 times...maybe it WAS one and his handlers were messaging the names each time he moved to a different family?
