I remember growing up and hearing about this being a religious cult experiement. When I was older I actually listened to the 40 minute tape recording of the mass suicide.

Times Jesus was mentioned: 0 Times God was mentioned: 0

Times escaping to Russia, communists, communism. was mentioned... several.

This was a leftist indoctrination camp.
