373 FDA-approved drugs have been recalled since 2017...look how many are hand sanitizers! One was recalled because not only did it have wood alcohol in it, but it was labeled as "edible alcohol"! How many people have you seen upping their hand sanitizer game the past few years? This is crazy!

I think they recalled a bunch of those hand sanitizers because the wood alcohol (methanol) is toxic. When there was a shortage of supply early in 2020, a bunch of random companies started making hand sanitizers with whatever alcohol they had on hand.
