The goal of any hospital is to keep a full occupancy. Every empty bed is money lost to them. I have accompanied various people to the hospital over the years. If you go to the ER and end up needing to be admitted you are very likely to be held in limbo until a bed becomes available. People are dumped out of hospitals after surgeries or illness as soon as they can get rid of you because there is someone waiting for your bed! My most recent visits to medical facilities look very normal except for ERs being very low volume. The biggest change is nazis at every entrance requiring masks with no exceptions. Only main entrances are open to the public where before every facility had several access points.
