Speak out educators, you know we see things that cross the lines.
Speak out parents, you know you've heard and read things from the school that cross the lines.
Above all, talk to your children about Everything they hear in school.
I spent quite a bit of time, after being forced to attend a CRT assembly with my students, explaining to these students that what they just heard was the OPINION of SOME not all, and that I disagree with that OPINION. I reminded them that just because they hear it in school, doesn't mean it is TRUTH. I encouraged them to go home and share everything they heard with their parents, and to get their Opinions from home. No doubt, mine was the only class they heard that in.

Good for you for giving the kids a simple, meaningful explanation.
