It's not just a matter of survival or not. Whatever kind of flu, it's good to take something safe and effective (ivermectin) to alleviate suffering and speed up the process of healing. Meanwhile, your immune system got a taste of the 'invader' and gets prepped for any future attack. Not a doctor, just seems common sense.
