Here's a link to another good one I posted yesterday titled, "Ivermectin, ‘Wonder drug’ from Japan: the human use perspective" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3043740/
Interesting.
They are hypothesizing a different mechanism than Dr. Zelenko. His theory is that Ivermectin acts as an ionophore that permits Zinc into the cell, with the Zinc ultimately blocking the viral replication. In this paper, they postulate that Ivermectin actually blocks the transmembrane proteins that allow the virus to escape the cell.
Would love to see more study on each of these proposed mechanisms. It is absolutely criminal that nobody can get funding grants of my tax money to investigate this.
That is interesting! I was wondering the other day whether a combination of zinc, quercitin and Ivermectin were required for a prophylactic cocktail, if they both worked via the same mechanism. I wasn't sure Zelenko was correct, but now perhaps, all are needed since they attack the virus in different ways.
