Walked into a barber shop. Put myself on the wait list. Sat there for 20 minutes. Lady walks up and said do you need mask? I said, "no." she said, "yes you do." I said, "no." She said, leave then. I said there is j9 law that says I have to wear a mask. A random girl, that weighed at least 250 said, just wear one. I said, if you're so worried about health, look at yourself and stop eating. Then I got my haircut at a place no one wore masks..

I got a haircut yesterday and had a similar experience - having a beard means getting regular beard trims and Illinois, in it's infinite wisdom, has reinstated the mask mandate and has stopped barbers/stylists from doing beard trims. Didn't find out about all of this until I got the the establishment and of course I immediately got vocal about how stupid all of this is, but then I got an idea. Instead of leaving, I put on the face diaper and let my barber cut my hair. When she was finished I quietly told her, "Next time, if you come to my home and do the haircut and beard trim I'll pay you double what you're charging here." She was shocked, "Really?? Let me write down my cell number, just call and make the appt directly with me and I'll come to you."
From here on out, the barbershop will get nothing from me and my personal barber will be making double while I enjoy a cut from home.
