There is a select group of people on LI that virtue signal VERY hard. At a first glance, they seem quite secure in their positions, but in reality, they are being targeted for their insecurities. I feel a lot of the CV BS uses this group's insecurities to 'spread the shame'. They did not lose anything financially and they do have a modicum of power. They chose the "right" career, education, etc. But in the back if their minds, there is a little nagging thought that they could lose everything. These are people that make good money but also tend to be heavily leveraged. They are aren't in the private box seats at the theater, but they are in the orchestra with their eyes on moving up to the next open box, while desperately making sure they don't get bumped into the balcony nosebleed section. They don't get that they are NEVER going to be in box seats and they are just being used. The reactions of this group if/when they wake up will be quite interesting to watch.
I told my old boss that if law firms had lost 80% of their revenues due to lockdowns, we would have opened back up in two weeks and he agreed.
