The peer-reviewed study looked at user behavior on Facebook around the 2020 US election campaign, according to a report by The Washington Post.
Moral of the story : Regardless of their false labels, please continue to spread the truth.
We are hard-wired to recognize patterns. When you recognize the pattern of lies it becomes easy enough to invert what they are saying to find a more trustworthy source. It was always going to happen as long as the options were/are available. It's the natural course of a true free market. Quality matters. Truth matters. The only market lies will prosper in is a rigged market.
