I know some people keep asking for any verse in the bible that may support a religious exemption. Well this popped up on my app this morning and for some of you it may fit the bill. It's not about a vaccine, but it is about your freedom of will.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Cor 9:7
Society is telling us that we should give our bodies to this massive science experiment for the "greater good" and is using various forms of force or pressure in the form of some kind of punishment to encourage compliance from those who are reluctant to give their bodies to science. However, God wants us only to give from our hearts, and we are instructed never to give under compulsion, this is a warning sign. If you are reluctant in any way, God says not to give. Remember, God gave us free will, God gave us our freedom to choose. To be pressured by any entity to do something against your will under the threat of punishment is a violation of your religious freedom and can and should be viewed as religious discrimination.
I think there are better ways to defend a biblical objection as the basis of religious exemption from any vaccine.
1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
The presence of the genetic modifier mRNA, spike proteins, aborted fetal tissue, and heavy metals (aluminum adjutant & mercury preservative), in this and other vaccines is reason enough to claim that vaccines defile the temple for which God bought me, body and soul, at the price of the blood of His own Son Jesus Christ. This one could differentiate from Quinine or HCQ originally derived from plants or Ivermectin originally derived from soil as not being defiling agents.
We as Christians do not need to hold 'membership' in any local congregation to be Christ followers. However, I would think this would be a very good time to know what the Bible really says about your life. The original context of the above verse is sexual immorality. If one would use this as a legal argument for religious exemption, would they not also need to be prepared to defend any other lifestyle choices as wholly consistent with New Testament biblical standards?
I have not yet been challenged by my employer to get the vaxx, but these are some thoughts I have on these questions. I am inclined to pursue a medical exemption as I believe that several providers whom I have seen as a patient might offer me the option as they have NOT recommended flu shots for many years. A consistent track record is helpful if an exemption- religious or medical- is to hold up to challenges.
