Im in shock the bank didnt have an agent bidding on their behalf. You can assure they will in the future but that is how you wage war with them. Good on them!

A fake bidder only works if they have at least one genuine bidder, i.e. to artificially drive the price up. Otherwise it means you buy a property you already own from yourself and end up paying a commission to the auctioneers.
