Please elaborate on how Agent Smith would be the main character?
Throughout my youth I saw star wars where the rebels were the good guys and the empire bad. It wasn't until later where I saw that the empire was the good guys and subtly doing all the good guy stuff. (Even down to the rebels always strike first in sword fights) Just to say, I'm open, but would have figured the main characters between neo and morpheus. Or movie 1 morpheus and the others neo.
So, effectively Neo, the human, is more of a machine than agent smith in that Smith is free to act and knows what is going on.
When you add in the architect, that is an interesting perspective I hadn't considered.
The actual one that woke me up to the star wars thing was a meme about how the rebels take children and indoctrinate them into an ancient mystery cult. (Yoda literally has the line that Anakin was too old, at 8ish, to learn the force)
I hadn't caught that part, at least that's a logical/rational approach.
Still lazy, IMO, to have much of the same cast and in the preview repeating at least a few of the gimmicks from the trilogy.
Also IMO, it is extremely difficult to add to a story that had such a conclusive ending without creating a set of plot holes.

Thank you.
