I went to an Urgi-Care center yesterday after cutting a finger. While getting treated I spoke to the doctor who was in charge of this and 11 other clinics run my a large urban medical center. I asked specifically about Ivermectin and what he thought of it. He said it was useless. All the studies show it has no benefit. Really? I said. I mentioned a big study in Brazil and the data coming from India showing dramatic results. He just say, aha like in one ear and out the other. So I asked what exactly is the latest protocol for newly diagnosed Covid patients. He said monoclonal antibody therapy. He said all the patients he knows that used it have very good results and were better within a week.
Now here's a good example of a well intentioned doctor who read a couple of cherry picked studies from JAMA or NEJM and that was all he needed to think it didn't work. I know he never heard of the amazing results being reported globally that has been ignored by the major journals who are funded in large part by big pharma. The hospital would rather give you $3000 treatments than ones costing $20. I'm happy they have it to give people but it begs the question, why not use HCQ or Ivermectin as a preventative or early when symptoms first arise? Because their most trusted "highly respected" journals say it doesn't work. End of story.
By the time the truth is acknowledged, if ever, Pfizer and Moderna will be hundreds of $Billions richer, insurance rates will again go through the roof and we'll be on to the next pandemic. These doctors trust in the accuracy of these Journals so completely that it never occurs to them they are seeing anything but the absolute truth. So when it comes to re-imagining our health care systems, a top priority item needs to be a full investigation into the editorial and review boards of these Journals and that should include a review of their personal finances to see if there were any significant payments that can be tied back to big pharma. Then there should be investigations into those who develop and decide the protocols each hospital and clinic uses. Once again, those people need their finances checked for unusual payments that can be traced to big pharma.
Someone is lying and someone is telling the truth when it comes to HCQ and Ivermectin. That's probably true with a lot of other meds for conditions and diseases besides Covid. I just don't know if there are any really brave and hungry independent journalists left these days. I bet there's a helluva story to be told that would implicate a lot of very respected people.
Most doctors are so intellectually lazy that if they aren't spoonfed a narrative (by pharmaceutical reps mostly) they wouldn't know what to think. Once they graduate they stop learning, so many are practicing the medicine of decades ago.
Much of what I see is group think. The system doesn't reward physicians who step out of line. Their world is all about peer review, protocols, not running afoul of licensing boards, attending conferences at resort destinations paid for by big pharma where they rub elbows with their colleagues whose approval they desperately need and want. In that environment, patient safety can be marginalized by conformity at a time like today where those that dared speak up about leaky vaccines, antibody dependent enhancement, etc. and warned that mass inoculation during a pandemic can create the exact types of variants we see today. This default stance to defer to protocols or use very expensive drugs when low cost over-the-counter alternatives like HCQ and Ivermectin could mitigate the disease if people are infected and reduce the need for hospitalization while allowing people to obtain natural immunity that is proving to be far superior to the vaccines.
