I know these mandates are new, but are there any sources out there for guidance?

Yes, the U.S. Constitution. Read it. It's the Supreme law of the land. Mandates are not lawful if they contradict the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Either stand up for the constitution or get ready to spend your life bending over.
