I am sure the reasons speculated in comments are all at least partially true and agree there must be some significance in it being 9/11.

In addition, I think Trump constantly reminds us by his actions that we should be going about our lives doing things we enjoy, which sends the message to the cabal that we are not cowering or hiding or sitting home worrying. They hate that he is out and about.
