My husband had a procedure at St. Mike’s today. Most of the staff were cool, and generally dismissive of the Covid shenanigans being perpetrated by the media and the hypochondriac Karens and Chads. Still hoops to jump through, though. Nevertheless, a FedEx delivery guy was a f***ing asshole. The puppy was complaining about too many people in the elevator, not social distancing, yadda yadda yadda. I cannot keep my big mouth shut, so when he started telling two nurses in the elevator how much they don’t know, when they disagreed with him, I told him that his lack of reasoning was because the two masks he was wearing was producing carbon dioxide poisoning and oxygen deficiency. I told him that CO2 toxicity and O2 deficiency causes a marked decrease in higher brain functioning and deductive reasoning. He looked at me blankly, desperately trying to make sense of what I was saying, then screamed at me saying I needed proof, and MUST PROVIDE PROOF AS I WAS SPEAKING LIES! When I pulled out my handy chart, and told him that the chart proved what I was saying (it had come from Health Canada two years ago), he glared at me, told me I was stupid and ran out of the elevator at a floor other than his. The nurses laughed. Stupid puppy.
