In the early days of the virus, when the only thing coming out was fake videos (now we know) of people dropping dead in the streets and china rushing to build multiple hospitals and dead bodies in the hallways, etc... While all that was going on, the media was saying the above.

I wonder if the idea was to get Trump supporters, who didn't trust the media, to fear this virus enough to take the jab. If the left was rejecting it (like they did at first) for political reasons, then they figured the right would take the jab for political reasons too. That way when they flipped the script, practically everyone would be vaccinated.
