This is how I have lived for 20 years. I gave up every credit card in 1999 and only buy things for cash. That means second hand is usually affordable. Also, the little guys they need your $50 but Costco could care less about you. I also gave up fast food except Culver’s once in a while. In fact we just had a rummage sale over Labor Day and three couples combined earned $1100. That’s not too shabby.
My spouse fixes old tools with broken handles he combines them and resells them once a year he brought in $600 of that total.
I think I’m sticking to the man this way. Our home is paid off and our cars are paid for so it’s easier to live and now finally we can and do save money. The plandemic helped as I haven’t gone anywhere on vacation.
