Absolutely!

So many "medicines" actually cause the condition they are said to treat. Especially chemo, which is known to cause cancer. If someone takes chemo and recovers from cancer, they didn't recover because of the chemo, they recovered in spite of it.

Other examples include mouthwash for dry mouth and fluoride for dental health.
