I don't doubt him, but he's a dermatologist, so unless it's skin cancer, I'm not sure how his specialty applies.
"a board-certified pathologist and owner and operator of a diagnostics lab". I'm not seeing "dermatologist" in his credentials.
I googled his name, the picture matched and I read his profile at the hospital he works at.
I found that his BIO says he's a "board-certified dermatopathologist (AP & CP)".... so his specialty is dual... skin and pathology. According to an RN I know, the pathologist is the one who receives the sample, then reports his findings to the dermatologist who took the sample. So it does seem his specialty is lab-based.

Hi, my wife is a pathologist, she told me this just isn't a real thing. He's essentially a dermatologist who has done research into viral skin infections. Essentially shingles.
