Shadegg is all right. He's retired so he's no threat to anyone's job. He will find out the monkey business later, after the fraud has been proven other ways, so the bad guys aren't escaping, they are going to have the pain drawn out. I'd call that a win. The County dropped their suit which means they acknowledge the auditors did not, as the County had claimed, damage the machines, and it also means the County can't extort money for more machines: win-win for that fight. Also, the County acknowledges that Hobbs, the SoS, did not do her job: another win.
