GAW platform and hosting

I'm interested in developing a message board that uses a similar foundation as GAW (different topic of course). Can anyone point me to resources of the development, and how it's hosted without censorship. Thanks

Check into the Discourse platform if you're looking to create a custom forum site. You can download a docker image and host it fairly easily if you have a good understanding of software and networking.
