This is one I need help with. The Chinese have their Muslim population in camps. The taliban think Islam should rule the world. They fought the Russians and us. You would think the last thing they would want to do is invite another foreign power in to tell them what to do while their fellow jihadis are in their camps…
You are not alone. I’ve seen articles and posts here that China is already moving in and others that say the taliban hates China. Unless you are an eyewitness, it’s all speculation at this point. It makes perfect sense that China fills the void but nothing right now can be interpreted at face value. It should be pretty easy to convince the world that the taliban plan to partner with China. All you need is a warm embrace between Chinese and taliban officials but I have not seen that yet.
The other thing to consider is:
whatabout the clowns that are embedded there. Not just American clowns either. It’s a melting pot related to arms, narcotics and money laundering. That story has been kept from the public. Who will clean out that infrastructure or do they ? It’s far deeper than most of us have even thought about until now.
From the link It was not strategic. It was a surrender. When you sneak out of your most important base in the middle of the night without informing your allies, while leaving behind billions in arms, you show your cowardice. When you flee the country leaving behind American citizens on a schedule set by your enemy, you have surrendered plain and simple. We left the Taliban with hostages, and we have started to pay ransom.
China can have Afghanistan.
