Scarlet fever is not a big deal anymore. When I was pregnant with our 2nd son 37 years ago, our older son contracted scarlet fever. I freaked out but both his pediatrician and my ob said no big deal and it wasn't. Everything was fine.
As for measles virus having been isolated there are conflicting reports. I remember having a rash and fever. With mumps, my neck and throat were sore. With chicken pox, I had the blisters.
If I knew what I know now about vaxxines, I would never have allowed them for our children.
well that's good to hear! they used to isolate anyone who came in contact and quarantined your home. They burned your clothes and bedding, delivered food and other items to your home so no one else would come in contact with it.
Scars on your heart were there for the rest of your life.
