I have been noticing military jets flying over Texas and Oklahoma for three months now. Are they doing exercises or practicing for something else?

Yesterday a fighter flew north south (the commercial path over my home (Texas) is from west to east now 25 yrs here ..this beast was so fast so loud no way I could snap a pic - heading to border imo hearing seeing this was so cool - I never hear them maybe once many years ago saw a couple - used to see tons of Sikorskys head west under Trump but this fighter was f ing moving yesterday !!
