Self screening apps have been a thing in Ontario for at least a year. You have to answer questions which anyone could easily lie about. How they keep anyone safe is beyond me...
If your sick and feel like shit, stay home. This has been standard practice since the beginning of time. If you are planning on going to work while feeling sick during a "pandemic" answering questions on a useless app isn't going to change the outcome. It's just bullshit legal ass covering attempts by companies to waive liability.
If you feel sick, eat some chicken soup and watch "The Price Is Right" and relax. The crap you need to do at work will still be waiting for you tomorrow.
