This is my first post, I usually lurk and comment whenever I feel necessary. Our general manager told everyone today that they will have to be vaccinated or undergo weekly testing at our expense and pay a surcharge for our insurance. I've reached out to AFD for legal advice on medical/religious exemptions. Does anyone know of any resources I could use to find doctors in my area who would be willing to grant medical exemption for masks/vaxx/testing? I'm doing everything in my power to resist and will never take these shots. I cannot give in to their mandates and risk loss of liberty for a jab I know kills more people than it helps. How can they mandate weekly testing at your expense? It's a job requirement they are imposing. And the health insurance surcharge is extortion. They get rates based on group size, not vaccine status. It's employee abuse and a discrimination lawsuit target. Retribution is not permitted in any HR group in the land. Sue them.
Edit: I am in the same boat as you. 20+ years of service to my country to now be told I need to be terminated for noncompliance. F their shot.
I've reached out to AFD for legal advice, do you have any recommendations for lawyers in regards to this specifically? I think they are going this route to try and get people to quit vs firing them for non compliance so they aren't liable for unemployment or legal action.
I don't have recommendations. America's Frontline Doctors has a list of legal representation options on their website. I'll probably look into one of them too. My tactic is to force them to fire me because I've done nothing wrong. Then I'll sue for wrongful termination.
