This is my first post, I usually lurk and comment whenever I feel necessary. Our general manager told everyone today that they will have to be vaccinated or undergo weekly testing at our expense and pay a surcharge for our insurance. I've reached out to AFD for legal advice on medical/religious exemptions. Does anyone know of any resources I could use to find doctors in my area who would be willing to grant medical exemption for masks/vaxx/testing? I'm doing everything in my power to resist and will never take these shots. I cannot give in to their mandates and risk loss of liberty for a jab I know kills more people than it helps. Did you sign any documentation to work for your employer? Because if you did, there's not much you can do, legally speaking. They can just fire and replace you.
I don't mean to be so cut and dry, but company policies are created to protect themselves. If they feel you will not abide by their policies, they have the right to terminate your employment (because you signed their legal agreement originally).
I signed an agreement when I was hired but to my knowledge there is no verbiage about vaccine mandates, this is a new policy they are planning to comply with due to the new federal mandate. My GM said something along the lines of OSHA is currently working on the outlines for how the policy is going to work. It's not being implemented right away, it's going to be coming.
