I thought that too, for a sec... Because it wasn't a surprise.

If they had said that crap a year ago 3 years ago, 5 years, ...would it be underwhelming then as well?

I think we're so used to the shock of the current evil regime, that we're no longer surprised. That's what scares me. It's getting worse, and considered normal in the US! And IT SHOULDN'T BE normal in the United States of America.
