"Although judges should be independent, they must comply with the law and should comply with this Code. Adherence to this responsibility helps to maintain public confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary. Conversely, violation of this Code diminishes public confidence in the judiciary and injures our system of government under law."
If things don't change, you're sadly right. But it's nonetheless a very big deal. Outright corruption of the judiciary is huge. Third world huge. And every scintilla of evidence is necessary.

There is honor among thieves, so I guess there is really no one watching that cares....
This seems like a big deal. Now they can do a report for the Congress.
And then write a strongly worded letter. This is going nowhere.
