I spent a couple weeks in Edinburgh. They keep the legend alive there with the tourists. That's how I knew of it. I didn't think about it until you posted about the Latin motto of Bootle. it got me to thinking when you mentioned it might be an auger. It could mean that if you kill the stag, the opportunity to see and know Christ is also dead. Or, that your quest for spiritual knowledge will fail.
Might be a comm from the DS, as they're trying to prevent us from gaining this knowledge.
Yes, I think you're right. It looks like a prophecy 'engineered' to send a comm, two good options there.
A couple more references too:
''In English Folklore, the white hart is associated with Herne the Hunter. In Christianity, the white stag was partly responsible for the conversion of the martyr Saint Eustace. Eustace saw a vision of Christ between the stag's antlers and was told that he would suffer for Christ.''
Richard II or "Rich-hart": In the Wilton Diptych ( National Gallery, London ), which is the earliest authentic contemporary portrait of an English king, Richard II wears a gold and enamelled white hart jewel, and even the angels surrounding the Virgin Mary all wear white hart badges.
More royal and spiritual associations. I'd think that it getting shot was likely not a good omen. At the very least for the deer..
Note, too, that the comms sent were very specific to the countries involved. The animals already had a history and meaning in their respective countries, so the messages would be heard loud and clear, 5:5.
I hadn't come across that, thanks. I wonder what the comm was- if the deer was shot then none of those sound like very good comms, bad event incoming?
If the black swan pairs with the bank in China, I wonder what ours will be.

If the black swan represented a financial crash in Chyyyna (Black swan event), then a British White Deer event could mean... fall of Church or Crown?
