If the republicans let the reconciliation bill pass the Senate, is all a moot point if he works for a company with more than 100 employees. I'm in the same boat. When I joined my company 12 years ago, I began my work from home career. I have been in the office less than 10 times over that time (none of those visits were necessary to attend in person, just preferred).
If the mandate passes, I will be fired because according to the government, I will be "a danger to the workplace", even though I am two states away. I could try and get a religious or medical exemption but I am as disinterested in playing that game as I am in getting the jab. I will lose everything I have within months because I have no savings due to unforseen life events (my mother will have to move to my sister's, my home will be foreclosed on, my car repossesed) but this is the hill I chose to die on.
